Cancellation / Withdrawal Information for Consumers
Instructions on the right of withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. However, special rules apply to digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium.
3.1 Standard notice
If a consumer purchases digital content from Atlas Insights, the right of withdrawal may expire early if:
- the consumer expressly agrees that performance begins before the withdrawal period expires, and
- the consumer acknowledges that, by giving that consent, they lose their right of withdrawal once performance begins.
3.2 Model wording for checkout consent
At checkout, Atlas Insights should use a separate checkbox or similarly explicit confirmation with wording substantially similar to the following:
- "I expressly agree that Atlas Insights begins performance of the contract before the withdrawal period expires."
- "I acknowledge that I lose my statutory right of withdrawal once delivery of the digital content begins."
Without this properly documented consent flow, the business may face consumer-law risk for digital-content sales in Germany and the EU.
3.3 If withdrawal still applies
Where the right of withdrawal has not been lost or where mandatory law requires it, withdrawal requests may be sent to:
Atlas Insights
Bahnhofstraße 58
69151 Neckargemünd
Germany
Email: support.atlas.insights@gmail.com
Consumers may use any clear statement declaring the decision to withdraw from the contract.
